実態は、年会費を払って会員になれば、National Trustの管理している施設に無料で入れますよ。という年会費型フリーパス。

Our professional staff run the properties and the wider organisation. Our governance volunteers serve on a range of groups intended to support our staff and the Trust’s activities.
私たちの専門スタッフは多くの歴史的建造物を運営しています。運営のボランティアは、スタッフとトラストの活動をサポートするための様々なグループに参加しています。
Our constitution
ナショナルトラストの規約
The National Trust was first incorporated in 1894 as an Association Not For Profit under the Companies Acts 1862-1890.
ナショナルトラストは会社法1862-1890に基づく非営利団体として、1894年に設立されました。
Underpinning our governance arrangements are Acts of Parliament. The first National Trust Act was passed by Parliament in 1907. A number of successive Acts have since been introduced to update and, where necessary, revise our constitution to ensure the National Trust continues to be well governed and remains true to its cause.
私たちの運営体制を支えるのは議会法です。最初のナショナルトラスト法は1907年に議会で可決されました。その後、ナショナルトラストが適切に管理され、その目的に忠実であり続けることを保証するために、必要に応じて規約を更新/改正してきました。
The Charities (National Trust) Order 2005 describes our current governance arrangements and is the starting point for the arrangements in the Governance Handbook.
2005年慈善事業（ナショナルトラスト）令は、現在の運営の取り決めを説明しており、運営ハンドブックの取り決めの出発点となっています。
歴史的な建造物や庭園などを保護する為の、イギリス最大のボランティア団体。
会員として1年経過した感想
率直な感想
年会費は嫁と二人で￡120/年であった。
入場料が￡15のところに4ヶ所も行けば元が取れるので、とってもお得！！！
と言いたいが、ワテら夫婦には正直微妙であった。
心の広い、寛大な方ならいいかもしれないが、ワテのようなケチ臭い者は、ナショナルトラストに入会中は、ナショナルトラスト以外のところに行くと損した気分になってしまう。
城巡り等をしたいが、行きたいと思うような場所は、大抵ナショナルトラストやイングリッシュヘリテッジ等の年間フリーパスに属していない場所が多い。
結果的に、本当に行きたいところを我慢して、大して行きたくもないところに出かけたという、本末転倒な結果になってしまった。
元々の予定では、次の1年はイングリッシュヘリテッジに入会しようと思っていたが止めて、しばらくはフリーで旅行をしたいと思う。
ナショナルトラストで無料になる施設について
庭園系が多い。
「歴史的な建物の庭を利用した、植物の説明が無い植物園」な感じ。
荘園系も多い。
「貴族が暮らしていた感じの家と、その周辺のハイキングコース」な感じ。

ナショナルトラストメンバーは駐車場無料となる場所が多いがそれも無いようだ。
17歳以下なので運転免許証を持っているはずがないということだね。
