Belleek Pottery Ltdは、1884年にBelleek Pottery Works Company Ltdとして、後に北アイルランドとなるファーマナ州Belleekで取引を開始した磁器会社である。

画家で詩人のユージン・シーリンは、19世紀後半にBelleek Potteryで仕事をしていた。
彼の絵「Innocence」（1879年）を再現したBelleekの皿は、ロンドンの王立ヴィクトリア＆アルバート博物館に展示されている。
Tsuma is inspired by Japanese Design and is reminiscent of an old Japanese pottery process called Raku where pieces are fired at a low temperature and then buried to create colour and texture. Originally used as part of Japanese tea ceremonies most often in the form of tea bowls, the pottery was rustic in appearance and usually found in earthy tones.
Tsumaは、日本のデザインにインスパイアされ、低温で焼成した後、色や質感を出すために埋没させる「楽」という日本の古い陶器の工程を彷彿とさせます。元々、日本の茶道で茶碗として使われていたこの陶器は、素朴な外観で、通常、アースカラーが使われています。
A similar effect can be seen on the bases of the Tsuma collection which are unglazed and smoky. The contemporary tea set is glazed with dark grey while the other box sets include four rich matte colours – Dark Grey, Green, Peacock Blue and Paprika.
ツマコレクションのベースにも同様の効果が見られ、素焼きでスモーキーな色合いになっています。コンテンポラリーティーセットはダークグレーの釉薬で、その他のボックスセットはダークグレー、グリーン、ピーコックブルー、パプリカの4色の豊かなマットカラーで構成されています。

イギリスで売っている割には、「和」の感じが出ているなと思って買ってみた。
買ってから調べてみると、日本にインスパイアされたということがわかった。

使い勝手は良く、単品では色も好きではあったが、食べ物を乗せてみると食欲減退色の為、なんだか残念。
次第に使わなくなってしまった。
