One day, Flynn Rider, a thief, is looking for a place to hide. When he climbs into the tower, Rapunzel ties him up – and makes him a deal.

Now, Mother Gothel tricks Rapunzel into returning to the tower. When Flynn arrives to rescue her, Gothel wounds him.

Rapunzel tries to heal Flynn, but he cuts off her hair to free her from Mother Gothel forever. It works – Gothel withers away. But Flynn is hurt badly. Rapunzel heals Flynn with one magical golden tear.
